Meanderings Ceramic Installation – Spiral of Life
Meanderings is a contemplative ceramic installation composed of nearly 120 individually handcrafted pieces. The layout and number of elements can be adapted to the space, allowing the work to evolve with its surroundings.
Built through a repetitive sequencing of smaller forms, the installation comes together as a larger cohesive sculpture. Each piece carries minimal abstract markings, created over the last two years as a quiet record of daily experiences—like a visual journal capturing fleeting thoughts and moments.
The egg-like forms symbolize eternal life, fertility, and renewal. In abstract terms, they reflect hope, continuity, and optimism. While each element remains intimate and personal, together they form a spiral that builds a deeper spiritual connection with the universe.
The open circular spiral arrangement represents growth, evolution, and our interconnected existence. It embodies the idea of the Spiral of Life—mapping the physical, mental, and spiritual journey of human life as it unfolds through time and changing seasons.
It was in galleries and in Korean Museum. But private collectors have bought in fewer pieces for smaller personal space.
