Devika loves the Earth in many ways - the life, the travels, the clay. Her soul seeks inspiration in all these and finds forms in the movement and the journeys create the rest; the vistas discover the eye, and as the clay breathes through its pores, the dance finds poise in the still point within. Her connection with clay started three decades ago, and after years of a successful corporate career, she went back to her calling with a formal training at The Cold Mountain Studio, Dharamshala and Studio Re4Clay. Devika operates from her Studio, 'Shambhala Art' in Gurgaon under her brand ‘मिट्टी Palette’

Let me mold clay, O mind, for you know all. Kabir says, The divine is in the clay itself."

‘’For me, the rhythm of clay’’ is meditative. It allows me an organic exploration of forms, shapes & textures, and through them an expression of both the self and the natural world. As the clay yields, bakes, breathes, and takes shape, it holds up to me a prism through which myriad hues shine, which hitherto lay cloaked in the shadows of the unknown.
